Main Street Fest Set to Draw Crowd with Notable Headliners

The city’s Parks, Arts and Recreation Department is hosting the 6th Annual Main Street Fest. This free community event is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, April 21-23, on the 200 block of W. Main Street and surrounding areas.

Along with selected performers, the festival will celebrate the festive, family atmosphere of Grand Prairie with live music featuring Texas country singer and songwriter Pat Green. Additional performances include Reckless Kelly, Clay Thrash, Kasey Clay, Jolie Holliday with Sonny Burgess, The Inspiration Band, Monica Saldivar,  Tejas Brothers, and four-time Grammy Award-winning group, La Mafia. While at the festival, enjoy a variety of spectacular novelty performances, carnival rides, an arts and crafts area, business expo vendors, three entertainment stages, food and beer gardens, and an Earth Day-inspired KIDZONE.

Last year’s Main Street Fest attracted over 20,000 visitors. This year’s festival is projected to bring 26,000 participants to downtown Grand Prairie. For more information on this year’s Main Street Fest, please visit  www.mainstreetfest.com.
