Heavenly Mimi, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting those in need during their cancer journey, will be hosting its First Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held at Luna Vista Golf Course in Dallas on April 27 at 9 a.m.
After losing her mom, Marilyn “Mimi” Laporta, to cancer in 2011, Grand Prairie resident Allison Byrd-Haley founded Heavenly Mimi. Aware of the toll of medical costs associated with combating cancer, the organization provides financial assistance and empowerment to families as they endure challenging times.
Proceeds from the Charity Golf Tournament will be used to fund gas cards, hotel stays, and medication, as well as help offset medical expenses. Tickets for individual player are $100, tickets for a team of four are $360. Lunch is included. A 501(c)(3), ticket costs and donations are tax deductible.
